The historical fiction series, set-in small-town Canada in the first decades of the twentieth century, was launched with the publication of The Innocent, in the fall of 2018. The Mending, the final book in the series will be published in 2021.

A Romp Through the Roaring 20’s

Reflections on the decade based on the fact and fiction of The Mending by its best selling author, Lynne Golding. In the 1920’s, Canadians try to recapture their pre-war life of innocence. They are not able to.  As society deals with Spanish flu, returning injured men, a shrinking and then roaring economy, temperance and bootlegging, and a surplus of single women, a different, possibly better, life emerges.

This event is part of the Spring 2021 Speaker series.
