Diana Bishop is from Collingwood Ontario currently residing in Paris. She studied at the University of Guelph where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree, Universite de Sherbrooke for a year of French Immersion, Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson), and Concordia where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Diana Bishop spent eight years of her 20-year journalism career working as a political reporter on Parliament Hill, travelling with senior political leaders around the globe. She was named the first fulltime female foreign correspondent for the Canadian network CTV National News when she got the plum posting as Beijing Bureau Chief. She spent four years reporting on the economic and social revolution that was sweeping Asia. For her work there, she was nominated for a Gemini, Canada’s top journalist award in 1995.
She is currently self-employed and produces, writes, interviews, and brings us closer to her interesting life through posts on Woman of a Certain Age in Paris.
My Life in 4 Chapters
Diana Bishop is someone who has reinvented herself again and again over the last 60 odd years.
Since 2002, Diana has been running a unique personal branding and communications business called The Success Story Program™ where she has helped create success stories for everyone from executives and entrepreneurs, to politicians, scientists, and ballet dancers.
In 2017 Diana wrote her own story, a deeply personal memoir called Living Up to a Legend, My Adventures with Billy Bishop’s Ghost --- which explores the profound impact that her famous grandfather, World War One Flying Ace, Billy Bishop has had on her life.
Then in 2018, Diana started her passion project, a popular blog and website called Woman of a Certain Age in Paris.com where she gets to visit and write about the City of Light and where she is building a community of followers around the world who love Paris and all things French.
In fact, Diana believes we all have Four Chapters in our lives, and that now as a "woman of a certain age” in her Fourth Chapter, she is living the best chapter of all!
